In partnership with Cap Seine and Verdesis, IKOS has developed mechanic tools and methanisation intended to produce energy from organic waste: manure, slurry from sewage plants, cut lawns, fruit & vegetables, fat, whey, agro-food waste from cereals or canteen waste.
That way, the Capik unit produces a gas renewable by methanisation through a digester. This gas gives fuel to a cogeneration motor to produce electricity and heat. Sustainable alternative for the treatment of organic waste, Capik also produces fertilizer, to recover that way the entirety of fermentable waste.
Every year the Capik unit is treating 19500 tonnes of organic waste. It is producing 1500 tonnes of standard organic granules and 950 tonnes of solution of nitrogen sulphur of a good quality.
